On Saturday 18th September a special event was held at Cineccita Rome on the inauguration of the new headquarters for the Italian Association of Set Designers and Costume Designers.
The occasion brought together professionals from the world of cinema with Carlo Poggioli as a wonderful host, with the slogan “Together for the recovery of cinema and show business”.
We had the opportunity to participate in the event and to tour the new facilities of the ASC located in the mecca of cinema, Cinecitta. One of the largest film studios in Europe, where renowned directors such as Fellini, Coppola, Bertolucci, Scorsese, etc. have filmed. More than 3000 films have been shot here, including 90 Oscars.
An ideal environment for the ASC office, where they also promote the training of Costume Designers and Scenographers with on-site training that started in September and extends to December with seminars given by Milena Canonero, Alessandro Lais, Nicoletta Ercole and many more.
