The Algete Town Council awards Myriam Wais, Communication Director of Peris Costumes, with a prize

On International Women’s Day, Algete organised the 1st Villa de Algete Extraordinary Women Gala, which was born with the aim of recognising all those local women who have excelled in their professions. The 8 award winners, through their dedication, leadership and contributions, have proven to be agents of change, inspiring others.

This Gala also symbolises the objective of the municipal government of Algete to continue working and implementing policies and projects that serve to advance and develop new projects for improvement. The Mayor of Algete, Fernando Romo, and the Councillor for Women, Noemí Galán, presented the awards at an event in which representatives of associations and sports clubs of Algete wanted to support the 8 award winners with their presence.

Among the attendees were also the deputy of the Assembly of Madrid, Lourdes de Villota, and the mayor of Valdeolmos-Alalpardo, Miguel Ángel Medranda.

Myriam received the award for her work as Director of Communication and PR, promoting the international projection of Algete through the activity of Peris Costumes. Our colleague has been selected to receive this prestigious award in recognition of her leadership in the field of communication and her positive impact on the promotion of the activity we carry out to provide costumes for national and international series and films.
