TVE shoots Las Abogadas

Tve and MOD Producciones shoot the series based on the survivors of the Atocha lawyers massacre in 1977.

It consists of six episodes that will be filmed in Madrid, Toledo, Guadalajara, Segovia, Leganés and Hoyo de Manzanares. It shows the lives of four young women who, with their courage and hard work, drove the change in Spain during the 70s.

With a great cast, the series portrays the Madrid of the 70’s and narrates the beginnings of Manuela Carmena and Cristina Almeida, who live with illusion a new era in which the end of the dictatorship begins to be glimpsed. A road to freedom where the lawyers will bravely defend their democratic ideals alongside the most disadvantaged.

Costume designer: Natacha Fernández Gallardo.

The cast includes actresses Paula Usero, Elisabet Casanovas, Irene Escolar and Almudena Pascual.

Series created by Patricia Ferreira and directed by Juana Macías and Polo Menárguez. Executive producers are Nieve Fernández Blanco, Fernando Bovaira and Guillem Vidal-Folch.
