Spain and Chile recently signed the enactment of a film and audiovisual co-production agreement between the two countries. This alliance includes feature films and series, allowing producers to access benefits, promotion instruments and tax advantages available in both countries.
This is a great boost for both nations. Gabriela Sandoval, president of the Chilean Association of Film and Television Producers (APCT) and general co-coordinator of CinemaChile, highlighted the importance of this agreement. CinemaChile is the organization in charge of the international promotion of the Chilean audiovisual industry. Sandoval participated in the Chile Summit Europe 2024, organized by ProChile in Madrid last week, to highlight the business potential that Chile offers to its European partners.
Before traveling to the Marché du Film in Cannes, she visited Extremadura to learn about the region’s new co-production fund, guided by Antonio Gil Aparicio, director of Audiovisual Media and Film Library of Extremadura.
