Bayona’s film “La Sociedad de la Nieve” will close the Venice Film Festival.
It is a survival thriller based on a true story: in 1972, Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, which was to transport a rugby team to Chile, crashed in the heart of the Andes. Only 29 of the 45 in the crash survived.
It will be shown in the Sala Grande of the Palazzo del Cinema at the end of the festival as part of the unofficial section.
