Vanity Fair has revealed the first images from the highly anticipated Gladiator 2. With its release scheduled in less than six months, anticipation for the epic production has peaked, and now we can get a glimpse of what awaits us on the big screen.
The film, directed by Ridley Scott, promises to take us back to the majestic and brutal Ancient Rome. In this new installment, we see the return of familiar faces such as Connie Nielsen, who reprises her role as Lucilla, and new additions that promise to enrich the story.
One of the most outstanding elements of these first images is the spectacular costumes, in which Peris Costumes has had the honor of participating. We have collaborated with renowned costume designer Janty Yates, with whom we already worked on the recent film Napoleon. Costumes that capture the essence and grandeur of the Roman era, bringing authenticity and splendor to each scene.
Among the images shown, you can see:
- Denzel Washington as Macrinus, an arms and gladiator dealer, whose commanding presence promises to be one of the highlights of the film.
- Paul Mescal as Lucius, Lucilla’s son, now grown up and facing his own destiny in a world full of challenges and conflicts.
- Pedro Pascal as General Acacius, a man full of regret and doubts about his future, in Ridley Scott’s own words.
- Fred Hechinger as Emperor Caracalla, a character whose complexity and power will be crucial to the plot.
We can’t wait to see how these performances, along with our costumes, will come to life on screen and immerse viewers in an ancient Rome full of intrigue, drama and spectacle.
Gladiator 2 promises to be one of the most anticipated films of the year, and at Peris Costumes, we are proud to have helped shape this epic narrative. With these first images, the excitement and anticipation only increases, and we are confident that the end result will be nothing short of spectacular.
Don’t miss the premiere of Gladiator 2 and dive into a new adventure in Ancient Rome!
