Discover The Auschwitz Tattooist series inspired by the true story of Jewish Holocaust survivors Lale and Gita Sokolov

The long-awaited trailer for the series The Tattooist of Auschwitz is now available. The series tells the story of Lale Sokolov, a Jewish prisoner tasked with tattooing identification numbers on the arms of his fellow prisoners in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp during World War II.

Based on the moving novel by Heather Morris, the series follows the real life of Sokolov and his wife, Gita Furman. The costumes, by costume designer Ján Kocman, were provided by Peris Costumes, ensuring an authentic representation of the period.

The story, told from the perspective of Lale Sokolov, follows his harrowing journey as a prisoner in the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. From his forced transport on a long freight train journey with other Jewish prisoners to his arrival at the Auschwitz II-Birkenau labour camp, where he witnesses unimaginable horrors on his first night, the series promises to be a shocking and unforgettable experience.
