Die Zweiflers series to premiere this spring on ARD’s Mediathek

The six-part series, created and directed by David Hadda, will premiere in Germany on ARD’s streaming service Mediathek, and will also air on ARD’s main linear channel Das Erste in the near future.

At a time of soaring costs and a great need to break into a still very saturated market, European public broadcasters are looking for partnerships. The most obvious partners are other state TV channels.

The Zweiflers” is an exceptional series in many respects. It is a family story spanning 3 generations, and is a look at Jewish life in contemporary Germany. “At a time when growing anti-Semitism is becoming a serious problem in various parts of the world, this series, from its fictional basis, is an important contribution to the very real discourse we need to have,” added the series director.
