The festival opens the doors to the world’s best cinema in its 76th edition from 16 to 27 May. Actor J.Depp, known for avoiding public appearances, made a big exception by attending to the press after the festival’s opening screening.
The film “Jeanne du Barry”, in which he plays King Louis XV. Directed and performed by Maïwenn, with Depp showing off his French-speaking skills, a return to the big screen in a period romance. The Peris Costumes team is proud to have participated in the costumes for the film designed by Jürgen Doering, which opened the festival.
Renowned French actress Catherine Deneuve and American legend Michael Douglas opened the event (she in French and he in English), in which 21 films will compete for the prestigious Palme d’Or.
