The Venice Film Festival has unveiled the program for its 81st edition, which will feature a competition of 21 films. Among the highlights are new productions from renowned directors such as Todd Phillips, Pedro Almodovar, Luca Guadagnino, Brady Corbet and Justin Kurzel.
One of the festival’s big premieres will be the biopic “Maria,” based on the life of legendary soprano Maria Callas. This highly anticipated film stars Angelina Jolie and is directed by Pablo Larraín. The costume design, by costume designer Massimo Cantini Parrini, promises to be one of the most anticipated titles of the event.
