The musical “Wicked”, the untold story of the Witches of Oz, has premiered at the Nuevo Teatro Alcalá in Madrid, directed by David Serrano. This dazzling show is produced by ATG Entertainment, the world leader in live theater, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.
The costume design by Antonio Belart comes to life through the craftsmanship of Peris Costumes, whose team created many garments for both the leading cast and supporting actors. It was a major challenge, requiring countless hours of meticulous work, resulting in truly artisanal creations.
The numbers are astounding over 1,000 costume pieces, a stage design by Ricardo Sánchez Cuerda, five stage lifts for scene changes, and 40,000 LED light pointsrecreating the magical world of Wicked.
With this production, Madrid’s musical theater scene takes a remarkable leap forward, offering audiences an experience filled with fantasy, excitement, and wonder.
