The film La Tregua, starring Miguel Herrán and Arón Piper, premiered at the San Sebastián Film Festival and will be released in cinemas on October 10th. With costumes designed by Alberto Luna, the story follows Reyes and Salgado, two young men who fought on opposing sides during the Spanish Civil War and later find themselves imprisoned together in a Soviet gulag during World War II.
Forced to endure extreme conditions, they must face the cold, hunger, and horror behind the barbed wire, ultimately learning to strip away their ideologies and discover the human being hidden beneath the uniform.
It has been a privilege to take part in this powerful project, which captures both the suffering and the hope of those who endured one of history’s darkest chapters.
