The costumes of Valle Salvaje and Marie Antoniette: A second life on the screen

The costumes in Valle Salvaje have accustomed us to an impressive level. Each garment worn by the characters is a work of art, capable of transporting us to an unknown and fascinating era. Whether made especially for the occasion or selected from the best specialised shops, each outfit hides its own story.

We love to share with you the backstage secrets and reveal the curiosities of the shooting. Today, we bring you a story with a nod to cinema: the spectacular dress worn by Bárbara (Emma Guilera) at the great masked ball of the Gálvez de Aguirre family – which you can see in Valle Salvaje this Wednesday 26 March on La 1 – has a second life in the series. This costume jewel previously appeared in Marie Antoinette (2006), Sofia Coppola’s iconic film that served as inspiration for the series’ costume designers, Carlos Calvo de Mora and Tania Álvarez.

From Peris Costumes, we are happy to be part of this project, bringing our experience to give new life to each piece of costume.

Our philosophy

We believe in reuse and in collaborating to make this industry more sustainable. By recovering and adapting unique pieces, we not only preserve the history of film costumes, but also reduce the environmental impact of audiovisual production.
