Peris Costumes was proud to be the Global Partner of the 2nd Yvonne Blake Awards, held at the iconic Capitol Cinema on Gran Vía in Madrid. The event brought together leading costume designers to celebrate creativity, excellence, and the remarkable careers that shape the world of costume design.
The ceremony paid tribute to the extraordinary career of Pedro Moreno, a master of stage and film costume design, who received the City of Madrid Honorary Award, sponsored by the Madrid City Council.
The evening featured a special appearance by Jenny Beavan, one of the most acclaimed costume designers in international cinema and a three-time Academy Award winner, who traveled from London to join Javier Toledo, CEO of Peris Costumes, in presenting one of the awards.
Winners of the 2nd Yvonne Blake Awards 2025 organized by AAPEE:
- Best Costume Design in Feature Film: Arantxa Ezquerro and her team —Mónica García (supervisor) and Nuria Satos (assistant)— for La Virgen Roja.
- Best Costume Design in TV Series: Pepo Ruiz Dorado and Bina Daigeler, with assistants Karin Quijada and Txaro Diego, for Cristóbal.
- Best Costume Design in Theatre and Dance: Carmen De Giles and Flores De Giles for Divinas Palabras.
- Best Costume Design in Opera and Musical Performance: Gabriela Salaverri for La Verbena de la Paloma.
- International Award for Best Costume Design in Feature Film (sponsored by Peris Costumes): Carlo Poggioli for Parthenope (Italy).
- City of Madrid Honorary Award: Pedro Moreno.
- AAPEE Special International Mention: Critical Costume, for its educational and research work highlighting costume as a cultural and historical discipline.
Guests also enjoyed a special exhibition curated by Peris Costumes, featuring costumes, jewelry, and decorative pieces from major international productions, including The Leopard, Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming Frankenstein, and the acclaimed series Peaky Blinders.
