Set in the heart of 19th century Italy, a story of bravery and adventure unfolds in Netflix’s new series. Set in the tumultuous times where bandits reigned in southern Italy, it follows the footsteps of Filomena, played by Michela De Rossi, who abandons her comfortable but melancholy life in search of a lost treasure.
Filomena’s intrepid quest leads her down a dangerous path, where cunning and courage are her best allies. As she ventures into unknown terrain and faces unforeseen challenges, she discovers the true meaning of courage and determination. It promises to immerse the viewer in a thrilling journey filled with unexpected twists and turns and fascinating characters.
One of the highlights of the series is its costume design by costume designer Francesca Sartori. Every period detail is brought to life through the garments that transport the viewer to 19th century Italy.
