Netflix has confirmed the release of a new film written and directed by Santiago Mitre, in collaboration with Mariano Llinás, starring Verónica Llinás and Peter Lanzani. The costume design will be handled by renowned costume designer Mónica Toschi.
The film portrays the infiltration of a high-ranking officer into groups that were peacefully beginning to organise to demand the release of their detained relatives. Unbeknownst to them, these meetings would give rise to an unprecedented form of civil resistance in the heart of the Argentine dictatorship, marking a turning point in the country’s recent history.
The film is a production of La Unión de los Ríos (Argentina) together with Maneki Films (France) and will begin shooting in March in various locations in the City of Buenos Aires and Greater Buenos Aires.
We celebrate this new project, which highlights the creative talent of Argentine cinema and the work of the costume department as a key element in the historical and narrative reconstruction of our stories on screen.
