Marlowe, starring Liam Neeson, is now out in cinemas

Following its screening at the San Sebastian film festival in September, Marlowe finally arrives in cinemas after being delayed. The film is about Raymond Chandler’s famous detective, Philip Marlowe, who has been brought to the screen on numerous occasions in the noir genre.

Costume Designer: Betsy Heimann

On this occasion, director Neil Jordan adapts John Banville’s novel, ‘The Black Eyed Blonde’. In Los Angeles in the late 1930s, Philip Marlowe, a down-and-out detective, is hired to find the ex-lover of Clare Cavendish, the glamorous daughter of a famous film star. The disappearance unearths a web of lies, and soon Marlowe will find himself embroiled in a dangerous and deadly investigation in which everyone involved has something to hide.

Produced by Parallel Film Productions, it features a spectacular cast: Liam Neeson as the veteran detective Marlowe, Diane Kruger as the beautiful femme fatale Cara, and Jessica Lange as the famous actress Dorothy Cavendish. The supporting cast includes Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Colm Meaney, Danny Huston and Ian Hart, among others.

Filmed in Spain, Peris Costumes has collaborated in this project with its 1930s costumes.
