The Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid has inaugurated a special exhibition of the original Disney plus Cristóbal Balenciaga series, exhibiting handcrafted replicas of the costumes along with unpublished material from the series that will be released exclusively on January 19.
This is an immersive exhibition that offers the possibility to see up close the handcrafted replicas of the most emblematic pieces used in the series.
Bina Daigeler and Pepo Ruiz Dorado, are in charge of recreating all the costumes of the series. The designer is grateful that their work is gradually becoming more valued within the audiovisual industry, very important for the actors to play their characters and thinks that this exhibition serves to teach the public all the work behind the costumes in each audiovisual project.
The exhibition at the Botanic will be available until January 21, and is a must-see for lovers of Balenciaga’s work. It is a space of light and sound that allows visitors to feel inside the episodes of the series through unpublished images of the parades and the different moments of his life, from his beginnings in Paris in 1937, when Cristobal Balenciaga presents his first haute couture collection in Paris, through his entire career in his workshops in Madrid and San Sebastian, to his consecration as one of the most important designers of all time.
The exhibition is free with the purchase of general admission to the Real Jardín Botánico.
We are looking forward to the premiere and are proud to have been part of this project!
