The star of Dances with Wolves releases Horizon: An American Saga in the summer.
It will narrate the expansion of the American West before and after the Civil War. The perspectives of settlers and Native Americans.

Horizon is the first film in screenwriter/director/actor Costner’s big four-film bid, which he financed with one of his homes (he spent $38 million out of pocket on the film, budgeted at $90 million).

Chapter 1 is three hours long and focuses largely on setting the stage, introducing a wide array of characters, with the promise of more dramatic events in the subsequent films.
