Arcadia Motion Pictures, producer of titles such as Robot Dreams and As Bestas, presents director Daniel Monzón’s new feature film: Ruega por Nosotras (Pray for Us). The film, with costumes designed by Vinyet Escobar, has been acquired for international sales by Film Factory Entertainment.
Set in one of the most silenced chapters of Franco’s Spain, it tells the story of the Patronato de Protección a la Mujer (Women’s Protection Board), an institution that between 1941 and 1985 confined thousands of women under supposed “moral reform” measures.
For Peris Costumes, it has been an enormous challenge to participate in this project that portrays a part of Spain’s history.
