The eagerly awaited thriller Escape, starring Mario Casas and directed by Rodrigo Cortés, opens in Spain on 31 October. The film, produced by the legendary Martin Scorsese, marks Cortés’ return to Spanish-language cinema since Concursante.
In this new film, Cortés explores the story of an ordinary man, played by Casas, who finds himself caught up in a series of unexpected events after winning an astronomical prize on a TV show, unleashing a plot of tension and intrigue.
The Escape team includes the work of costume designer Alberto Valcárcel, who brings his creativity and vision to the costume design. At Peris Costumes we are proud to have been part of this project, making costumes for the main character and contributing to bring the characters to life through their aesthetics.
Rodrigo Cortés, best remembered for the acclaimed thriller Buried (2010) starring Ryan Reynolds, once again uses his signature visual style to create a unique atmosphere that will keep the viewer in suspense.
With a stellar cast headed by Mario Casas and Anna Castillo, with the participation of Guillermo Toledo, Blanca Portillo, José Sacristán, Josep María Pou, David Lorente, Juanjo Puigcorbé and Albert Plá, among others. For more, we’ll have to wait and see how Rodrigo Cortés examines the consequences of fame and unexpected fortune, making it one of the most eagerly awaited releases of the season.
