Adriana’s costumes in Valle Salvaje: a journey to the Spanish 18th century

The costume team formed by Tania Álvarez and Carlos Calvo de Mora, together with the Costume Department led by Lorena Gutierrez, has carried out a meticulous work of craftsmanship to bring Adriana’s character to life in Valle Salvaje.

Each garment has been carefully thought out to reflect the character’s personality and, at the same time, transport us with historical rigor to the Spanish 18th century. The centerpiece is a rustic silk coat in ecru, hand-embroidered with delicate carnations and small scattered flowers, a work full of patience and precision. It is accompanied by a rustic cotton twill skirt in dark lavender and a reddish apron, whose color was the result of endless tests to find the perfect shade.

The outfit is completed with an antique straw hat, sewn and embroidered by hand, and a very fine cotton scarf, also embroidered by hand.

A costume like this not only dresses a character: it builds a universe, helps to understand its history and personality, and makes us travel in time. And, although it may seem a mystery to the viewer, behind every stitch there are hours of work, infinite decisions and a deep respect for history and visual beauty.
