The Jacobean Route will be the setting for one of the most eagerly awaited film productions of the year. The renowned Italian filmmaker Gennaro Nunziante will direct the feature film ‘Buen Camino’, a comedy with adventure overtones starring the popular Italian actor and comedian Checco Zalone.
Filming will travel through several Spanish provinces along the Camino de Santiago and this summer will stop in the province of Burgos, where some of its most outstanding sequences will be filmed.
The production will mobilize more than 300 extras, reflecting the magnitude of this ambitious international project.
The costume direction will be in charge of the prestigious costume designer Stefano Ciammitti, renowned for his meticulous work in period and contemporary productions. We are happy to be part of this project.
The plot follows Checco, a wealthy and spoiled heir to a sofa manufacturing empire, who is forced to abandon his comfortable and luxurious life when his teenage daughter disappears. In his search, the protagonist is dragged – much to his regret – to travel the Camino de Santiago, starting a journey full of entanglements, unexpected encounters and humorous moments.
With ‘Buen Camino’, Nunziante combines the landscape, tradition and spirit of the Camino de Santiago with his characteristic Italian humor, in a story that promises to win over international audiences.
