The HBO series created by Julian Fellowes has reached record numbers with the premiere of its third season , registering 2.7 million multiplatform viewers in the United States during the first three days. This figure represents a 27% increase compared to the premiere of the second season in October 2023, which accumulated 2.1 million views in the same period.
As with most HBO series, the majority of the audience watched the episode after its initial airing: only 430,000 viewers followed it live on the HBO channel, while the remaining 2.27 million accessed the content via streaming on Max, DVR recordings or on-channel replays.

With this solid start, The Gilded Age consolidates its steady growth since its premiere in 2022, when the first episode attracted 2 million viewers in three days. The second season, moreover, averaged 7.1 million viewers per episode within HBO’s 90-day measurement window, with each season finale outperforming the initial episode’s viewership by approximately 50%.
