Last Sunday, London’s Royal Festival Hall hosted the prestigious BAFTA Film Awards 2025, with the charismatic David Tennant as master of ceremonies.
The big winner of the night was Conclave, which led the field with 12 nominations and won four awards, including Best British Film and Best Picture. Meanwhile, period drama The Brutalist won four awards, including Best Director for Brady Corbet and Best Leading Actor for Adrien Brody.
In the Best Foreign Language Film category, Emilia Perez took home the accolade, as well as awarding Zoe Saldaña the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress, cementing her impressive awards season in 2025.
In the costume category, Wicked was the big winner, taking home the BAFTA for Best Costume Design, a recognition of Paul Tazewell’s impressive design and tailoring work that brings this production to life.


Other standouts of the night included Kieran Culkin, who extended his winning streak by picking up the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain, and Mikey Madison, who won Best Leading Actress for her performance in Anora.
