Great news for lovers of period stories, the highly anticipated series Il Gattopardo, a production of Indiana Production and Moonage Pictures, is coming to Netflix in 2025, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of Luchino Visconti’s iconic film.
This new adaptation revives Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa’s acclaimed novel, set in 1860s Sicily, against a backdrop of historical change and emotional conflict.
The costume design, by the talented Carlo Poggioli, shines again, and we at Peris Costumes are proud to have contributed to bring this fascinating world to life. Thank you, Carlo, for trusting us!
The series boasts an impressive cast, headed by Kim Rossi Stuart and Saul Nanni (who already shared the screen in Brado in 2022, directed by Kim himself), as well as Deva Cassel and Benedetta Porcaroli. Directing this ambitious production will be three prominent directors:
- Tom Shankland (episodes 1, 2, 3 and 6)
- Giuseppe Capotondi (episode 4)
- Laura Luchetti (episode 5).
