The Costume Designers Guild has announced the nominations for the 26th Costume Designers Guild Awards

The costume designers of “Killers of the Flower Moon” and “Napoleon” will compete for the top award for excellence in period film, while the makers of “American Fiction”, “May December”, “Nyad”, “Renfield” and “Saltburn” will compete for excellence in contemporary costume.

We missed the nomination of the costume designers of “The Color Purple”, “Wonka” and “Ferrari”. We have done our bit for

Poor Things, The Crown, The Gilded Age, Hunger Games, Napoleon, Rebel Moon, and the Little Marmaid.

Barbie, has been an Oscar nominee in the costume category, as Jacqueline Durran’s designs were transferred from the big screen to the public and the film became a cultural phenomenon last summer. Designer Durran created hundreds of looks for the various Barbies and Kens.

Terry Gordon, President of the Costume Designers Guild, IATSE Local 892. stated, “I am delighted to offer my sincere congratulations to all of this year’s CDGA nominees. It is with immense pride that this year our union includes and celebrates all CDG classifications, including costume designers, assistant costume designers and costume illustrators,” “Your remarkable contributions have elevated the art of costume design, and we look forward to honoring and recognizing your work during this special event. Best wishes to each nominee.

The ceremony will take place on 21 February at Neuehouse Hollywood. Winners in all nine categories will be announced live at the event.
