Director Ridley Scott has made several iconic films in recent years: ‘Blade Runner’ (1982) or ‘Thelma and Louise’ (1991) can be considered among his best works. His new project (along with Gladiator 2) is a return to the historical epic with Napoleon Bonaparte and may well be one of the most ambitious films of recent decades.

The film chronicles Napoleon’s rise to power as well as his complicated relationship with his wife, Empress Josephine.
