On March 19, the Museo del Romanticismo hosted a special talk inspired by the exhibition Ecos de la moda romántica, bringing together leading voices in contemporary fashion and historical research.
The conversation featured Josep Casamartina — curator of the exhibition and director of the Fundació Antoni de Montpalau — alongside renowned designers Palomo Spain and Ana Locking, both recipients of the National Fashion Award. The discussion was moderated by Myriam Wais, Head of Communication at Peris Costumes.
Together, they explored the enduring relevance of 19th-century romantic aesthetics and its influence on contemporary fashion, highlighting its creative appeal, its impact on current design practices, and the key role of the audiovisual industry as a vehicle for reinterpreting and disseminating the codes of historical fashion.
The event was held in celebration of the premiere of the second part of season four of Bridgerton, a global phenomenon that has reignited interest in romantic and Regency-era aesthetics.Following the talk, guests enjoyed a tea party inspired by the series and the English tea salons of the Romantic period, hosted in the museum’s café.
