La Mesías’ marks the return of “Los Javis”, three years after their last project as directors and screenwriters, ‘Veneno’, and is considered to be their most promising project, beyond great successes such as the film ‘La llamada’ or the series ‘Paquita Salas’ on the Netflix platform.
The official premiere of the series will be next Friday 29 September in the Official Selection of the 71st edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival.

For its part, the Movistar Plus+ platform will premiere ‘La Mesías’ on 11 October. The first two episodes will premiere on Wednesday and then, every Thursday, a new episode will be released each week until the series, written, directed and produced by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo, is completed.
There is a great cast in this project: Macarena García, Lola Dueñas, Carmen Machi, Ana Rujas, Amaia and Cecilia Roth, Nora Navas, Gracia Olayo, Aixa Villagrán, Carla Díaz, Betsy Túrnez, Ángeles Ortega, Mari Paz Sayago and Rossy de Palma. There is no doubt that La Mesías will be one of Movistar’s big bets for this autumn.
