Soon opens the fourth season. Vikings (Vikings) is based on the legends about the Viking Ragnar Lodbrok, one of the most famous heroes of Nordic culture that raided Northumbria, France and Britain. The series portrays Lodbrok as curious and sailor Warrior technologically innovative, ambitious and rebellious, which makes building a boat his friend Floki, to explore the territories to the West of Scandinavia disobeying the tribal chief, Earl Haraldson, ordering travel eastward, as every year.
The series is the brainchild of producer Michael Hirst, author of the successful the Tudor.
