The Valladolid International Film Festival, one of the greatest celebrations of independent and auteur cinema in Spain was launched in the wonderful city of Valladolid 2 days ago and its programme will screen 70 feature films and 50 shorts.
The 63rd edition of the festival started this weekend with the opening ceremony presented by the well-known actress and comedian Eva Hache. For this special gala, PERIS had the honor to dress Eva with a number of costumes that transformed her from the days of the Calderón Theatre back to characters from movie classics such as La venganza de Don Mendo, 55 Days at Peking, Doctor Zhivago and The Clockwork Orange.
The Seminci festival organizers contacted the team at Peris to agree on a collaboration and Eva visited our warehouse in order to try different costumes. Our colleagues Eva Galvache, Miguel Otero y Paula Santos assisted Eva and prepared the pieces that were selected. We were happy to introduce Eva to our latest acquisitions, our jewelry collection from Jewel House and some of the pieces were also chosen as accessories for the gala.
After her presentation, the direction of the gala moved then to Bárbara Lennie, the patron of this edition of the festival. The end of the gala was again led by Eva Hache, who performed a karaoke that ended up with a very genuine rendering of a song by Paloma San Basilio, Juntos.
At Peris, we welcome every opportunity to collaborate with such amazing cinema festivals that promote the heart of a different and inspiring class of cinema.
