A new eight-episode series portrays the early professional years of Italian journalist and writer
Oriana Fallaci, set between 1956 and 1959. The show follows a young, intelligent, brilliant, and rebellious correspondent as she challenges the limitations imposed by a newsroom dominated by men, where she is initially relegated to covering cinema and lifestyle topics.
Driven by unwavering determination, Oriana travels to New York on a mission to land an interview with the most elusive star of the moment: Marilyn Monroe. This journey marks the beginning of a journalistic career that would eventually make her one of the most influential and controversial female voices of the 20th century.
She was the first Italian woman to work as a war correspondent, and as a journalist, she earned international acclaim for her bold and insightful interviews with major historical figures. As an author, she published twelve books and sold over twenty million copies worldwide.
Beyond her journalism, Fallaci was a tireless political activist, a committed feminist, and a woman of strong political ideals, qualities that deeply shaped both her writing and public life. Her critical perspective, courage, and intellectual integrity made her a global reference.
The costume design, led by Eva Coen, captures the elegance and transformation of this pivotal era, with carefully curated pieces that recreate the historical and cultural context of postwar society.
A production by Paramount Global Television International Studios and Minerva Pictures. Now available in Spain on Movistar+
