The film Parking opens the Contemporary Romanian Film Festival at Cineteca Madrid

From 17th to 23rd September, Cinemateca Madrid offers a tour of one of the most solid and surprising European movies. Romania is a small country with a great tradition of cinema.

The film Parking opens this cycle, a romantic story starring Mihai Smarandache, Ariadna Gil and Belén Cuesta.

Costumes: Peris Costumes

Costume Designer: Fernando García

Directed by Tudor Giurgiu, the action takes place in an open-air car park in Córdoba, Spain.

There, the car park guard, Adrian, a Romanian immigrant and lover of poetry, lives in a caravan. His life changes when he meets Maria, a guitar player.

It is a bittersweet portrait of a group of losers, good people with bad luck who live from day to day and struggle to get out of the hole but find it increasingly difficult. A realistic drama about characters with whom it is easy to identify.
