The world premiere of Rifkin’s Festival, Woody Allen’s new film, will open the 2020 San Sebastian Film Festival.
A romantic comedy starring Elena Anaya, Louis Garrel, Wallace Shawn and Gina Gershon.
The film was shot in Donostia last summer. The costumes from Peris, selected by Sonia Grande and her team, will be shown at the Paseo de la Concha.
Sonia is known for her frequent collaborations with film director W.Allen on such films as Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Midnight in Paris , as well as her work on Fernando´s Trueba The Girl of your Dream ,for which she won Best Costume Design at the 13th Annual Goya Awards.
The screening on the 18th of September at the opening gala of the Donostia-San Sebastian competition will be its world premiere. This is the second time that the author of Annie Hall opens the Festival, after doing so in 2004 with Melinda and Melinda, which he presented to the international press at the Kursaal Centre in the year in which he also received the Donostia Award and the festival dedicated a retrospective to him.
