Oro is a historical film inspired by the expedition on the Spanish conquerors Lope de Aguirre and Núñez de Balboa in the sixteen century. Based on the short story Oro by the writer Arturo Pérez-Reverte.
The expedition sets out in search of the city of gold with the intention to leave of poverty in which they live in their native country, and to obtain glory and fortune. The group of adventurers will live an epic journey full of fears, dangers, cruelty and darkness.
The film was directed by Agustín Díaz Yanes and starred José Coronado, Raúl Arévalo, Barbara Lennie and Oscar Jaenada. The costume is by Peris Costumes in collaboration with the renowned costume designer Tatiana Hernández.
