Filming has finished in the Baltic States on “Mozart/Mozart,” a new six-episode premium series co-produced by ARD and ORF.
The drama focuses on Maria Anna Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s older sister, a talented musician whose career was cut short because she was a woman in the 18th century.
“Mozart/Mozart” is a vibrant story about talent, sacrifice and the struggle for freedom. When Amadeus’ health and career falter, it is his sister who takes the reins, even assuming his identity to keep the legend alive and protect his future. A game of masks, love and palace intrigues in which Antonio Salieri also appears.
Peris Costumes collaborates in this international project providing part of the costumes, under the direction of the costume designer Daiva Petrulyte, who once again trusts our house to bring to life an era where elegance and power were expressed through fashion.
Once again, we are proud to be part of productions that combine historical narrative, contemporary sensibility and high-level visuals. “Mozart/Mozart” promises to be a different kind of series: bold, emotional, with sweeping music and an approach that connects with today’s audiences.
