Costume designer Mayou Trikerioti has surprised with her work in the new Amazon Prime series, House of David, where she recreates an ancient world of which there are hardly any visual references. Each garment was the result of meticulous research and overflowing creativity.
Trikerioti joined the project from the early stages and, before starting the tailoring, visited some of the world’s leading costume workshops, including Peris Costumes, where she explored existing pieces to dress the extras and selected fabrics that would mark the visual style of the series.

“Major costume houses like Peris don’t just have costumes, they also offer fabrics. It’s possible to create a kind of live moodboard with colors and textures,” explained Trikerioti , who developed a series of internal podcasts to share her ideas with directors Jon Erwin, Jon Gunn, and production designer Chad Krowchuk.
The result is a spectacular costume that combines historical accuracy and visual impact, and positions House of David as one of the most ambitious costume design productions of the year – with Peris Costumes an essential part of the creative process.
Trikerioti’s work in House of David not only highlights her vision as a creator, but also the fundamental role of allies such as Peris Costumes, whose experience and resources were essential to build this visual universe that today captivates the audience.
