The series chronicles the life of Julia Pastrana, an exceptional woman of the 19th century who was exhibited for her physical appearance, but whose story holds a deep humanity. The production stands out for its narrative sensitivity and careful historical setting.
The costume design, by the renowned costume designer Loles García Galean, has been key to transport the viewer to the universe of Julia Pastrana. We have had the honor of collaborating by providing period pieces from our stock and we made them especially for this production, working closely with Loles’ team.
From embroidered costumes to everyday clothing from the 19th century, the costumes accurately reflect the historical and social context of the period, underlining Peris’ commitment to excellence and authenticity in every project.
